Creamy Porridge


WARMING PORRIDGE

There isn’t anything more comforting on a cold winters day than a steamy, creamy bowl of porridge. I absolutely love having my porridge with some stewed berries, fresh fruit and nut butter. It’s such a great and nutritious way to start the day.

 

INGREDIENTS

Porridge:
1 cup oats
2 cups plant based milk
Pinch sea salt
1 tbsp maple syrup/coconut sugar

Toppings:
1 cup frozen raspberries/blueberries/blackberries/cherries
Maple syrup
Nut butter


DIRECTIONS

Add in all porridge ingredients into a small pot on low-medium heat, bring to a gentle simmer stirring frequently until thickened up, add more milk if you want it a little less thick.

For the stewed berries, add the berries into a pot on low-medium heat, until berries have thawed and thickened.

Top with a drizzle of maple, nut butter and anything else you desire.
